The History of Brittany (Made Simple) 2012

On Monday 15th October we started the four session History of Brittany course at L'Autre Rive near Huelgoat. This is one of Wendy Mewes's courses (www.wendymewes.com) and it covers the history of this amazing peninsula from Neolithic times to the present day. As expected the first two sessions have been absolutely brilliant, Wendy puts the key points across very well as and as she always sets the context ....it makes sense. What I am left with at this point is a feeling of great respect for the early inhabitants of this area and everything that they achieved. I am looking forward to the next two sessions, it's great to be learning again.

We went to the mushroom apples and honey festival at Brasparts and Saint Rivoal. It was great. Pictures say more than words .......
This is worth translating!

Hundreds of different species (of mushrooms)

Many are fatal
The music was great

More living traditions.....
